Tooth Extractions Mission Viejo
Delivering Pain-Free Extractions to Ensure Better Oral Health

Living with a natural set of teeth long-term is the objective for most patients; however, this goal can be disrupted if poor oral hygiene or facial trauma gets in the way. When it does, most restorative solutions can be enough to fix the problem, but if the issue is too severe, only then are tooth extractions required. We will do all we can to ensure safety and comfort should this form of treatment be necessary, offering conscious sedation if you are anxious about the procedure. Contact our team if you have a damaged or hurting tooth that needs immediate attention.

When Are Tooth Extractions Necessary?

Tooth extractions are never the first option we will recommend; however, if Dr. Sy finds that no other restorative option is effective, we will suggest removing the tooth to avoid a further decline in oral health.
These situations may include:
- A tooth that is badly decayed and putting nearby structures at risk
- Advanced gum disease (periodontitis) is causing bone loss and teeth are becoming loose
- Custom prosthetics are needed to replace missing teeth and the remaining natural ones are at risk of falling out
- Facial trauma causes one or more teeth to suffer irreparable damage
