Advanced Dental Technology Mission Viejo

Moving Dentistry Forward

Working with world-class dental specialists early in her career taught Dr. Sy just how important technology is when it comes to the quality of dentistry she can provide. That’s why she consistently invests in our equipment and only uses the latest, proven instruments. You’ll be amazed by everything we can do these days as our modern approach brings unprecedented precision and customization to your care.

Digital Impressions

Gone are the days when we need a patient to bite into a mold filled with putty to create a model of their teeth and bite. Now, we just scan the mouth with a small device, and you’ll see a perfect digital impression generated on a nearby monitor from the comfort of your chair.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

This device is the next level of dental X-rays, spinning around the head to create a 3D map of your dental anatomy that includes both rows of teeth, your jaws, sinuses, and even tiny facial nerves. It gives us much more information compared to a traditional X-ray and allows us to plan more complicated procedures like dental implant placement with extreme accuracy.

The Wand™

What is The Wand™? It allows you to receive dental anesthetic without the pinch from the injection. Essentially, it administers the anesthetic so slowly and evenly that your body doesn’t register it. This means you basically feel nothing right before you feel nothing!

Digital Cavity Detection

Rather than just poking your teeth looking for cavities and decay, we can shine a special light on your enamel that instantly highlights any potential trouble spots. This makes it easy for our team to find potential damage way sooner compared to traditional methods, meaning we can often stop a cavity from forming in the first place.

Intraoral Cameras

About the size of a drumstick, our intraoral camera makes it easier for our team and you to see what’s going on in your mouth. Its small head is tipped with a powerful lens, and the images we capture can be placed on a large monitor near your chair. This helps us during exams and allows you to see exactly what we see during your appointments, making our recommendations easier to understand.
