This stage allows us to visualize the final result before any treatment begins. By planning the destination first, we can make more precise decisions throughout the entire process.
A detailed smile design helps ensure that preparation appointments are more predictable, laboratory communication is more accurate, and the final outcome closely matches the vision we created together from the start.
Living With Your New Smile Before It’s Final
One of the most valuable stages of cosmetic treatment is the temporary phase.
After your teeth are prepared, you will leave with a set of temporary veneers that closely resemble the planned final result. These temporaries are not simply placeholders—they are an important part of the design process.
This is your opportunity to truly experience your new smile.
You can evaluate the length, shape, proportions, color, and overall appearance in everyday life. You can see how your smile looks in photographs, while speaking, and during normal daily activities.
The temporary phase also allows us to evaluate important functional details such as your bite, comfort, speech, and phonetics. Certain sounds, facial movements, and chewing patterns can reveal opportunities for small refinements before the final restorations are made.
Sometimes the changes are minor. Sometimes they are significant.
Either way, this stage allows us to make adjustments based on real-world feedback rather than guesswork.
