Dr. Sy is a cosmetic and general dentist from Torrance, CA. After receiving her undergraduate degree in psychobiology at UCLA, she pursued her doctorate of dental surgery in San Francisco at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. There, she graduated with honors, being inducted into the Tau Kappa Omega honor society and receiving numerous clinical awards for her work in cosmetic and implant dentistry.
As a Southern California native, she now enjoys treating patients in two beautiful locations: Newport Beach and Palm Desert, CA. She is known for her ability to put a patient at ease, listen to their needs, and work with them to achieve their dental goals. When she’s not practicing dentistry, you can find her and her husband, Mike, hiking along the coast, Olympic weightlifting, or trying out new recipes.

THE CRAFT
Dr. Sy’s passion for cosmetic dentistry began in the early days of her career. She spent hours shaping teeth and studying tooth anatomy under the guidance of Dr. William Wright, DDS, a prominent board certified prosthodontist. Being in a group prosthodontics practice with an in-house lab allowed her to build on her skillset and expand her knowledge of what was possible in dentistry.
You can oftentimes still find her tucked away in the laboratory shaping crowns, hand fabricating her own acrylic provisionals, and doing lab-work. Her goal is to make every restoration mimic natural anatomy as closely as possible.
